New Distance Training Class, June 2020

As the state of Vermont changes guidelines for non-contact sports, we will resume training on Monday, June 15.  Students will maintain at least 10 foot distance throughout class.

COVID-19 Update, April 2020

Osu and Greetings Aikido students and families,

Due to the ongoing distancing guidelines from the state and federal governments, we will not be having any in-person Aikido classes for a while.

Video to support at-home study is available to active students.  Additional video will be shared with active students directly via email.

Students who would like to start Aikido study are encouraged to email Dojo@AikidoYoshokaiVermont.org and begin a conversation.

Holiday Break & 2020 Schedule

Osu Aikido students and enthusiasts!

There will be no classes Saturdays, Dec. 21 & 28, nor on Mondays, Dec. 23 & 30.  We will be taking a two week break over the Holiday Season.

When we return in the New Year, there will be one schedule change.  The Youth II class is moving from Saturday mornings after Youth I to Monday evenings before Buki Class.  The new time for Youth II is 5-5:50PM on Mondays starting Jan 6, 2020.

Adult classes on Mondays starting in April

Adult Aikido classes are switching to Mondays as of the first of April (the beginning of the Spring Session).  Class times will remain the same, with Adult II starting at 6PM and Adult I (Beginner) starting at 7PM.
Youth class schedule will not be affected.

Youth Class New Schedule

Starting Saturday, July 8, all Youth classes will be held on Saturday mornings. 
9:00-9:45AM  Youth I (beginner)
10:00-11:00AM  Youth II (8th Kyu and above)

All classes held at Pillar Pilates Studio, 25 Rossiter, Brandon, VT.

Aikido Demonstration in Brandon this Summer

As part of the ongoing Brandon Summer Concert Series, this year called Music at the Riverbend due to its location behind the Brandon Inn, Aikido Yoshokai Association of Vermont presents an Aikido Demonstration to share Aikido techniques and ideas with the public.

Youth II Class starting Jan. 2016

Starting on Saturday, January 9, there will be a second Youth class for students who have passed at least the first two Aikido Tests.  Youth II will focus more on higher level techniques and weapons movements, while Youth I is more for beginners and lower level students. 

Other scheduled classes will not change.

Kyu Tests Moved to Dec. 21

The Kyu Test for December 2015 has been pushed back one week to Dec. 21.  Class times (Youth and Adult) will be the same as normal, but testing will take place during those classes instead of Dec. 14 as originally scheduled.

Fall Classes start Sept 14

There will be no classes on Monday, August 31 or Monday, September 7 (Labor Day).  Regular weekly classes will resume on Sept. 14.

       Youth Classes: 4:30-5:15, Mondays, Sept 14 - Dec. (dues $30/month)
       Adult Classes: 5:30-6:30, Mondays, Sept 14 - Dec. (dues $40/month)
